This has got to be fixed.

Under judgement files used to be saved or blammed pretty damn fast before the re-design, when the portal was the main event. But now that the portal has been given a back seat in favour of a "latest, greatest, popular, under judgement, classic portal" drop down menu.

The portal doesn't stand out anymore and that means files under judgement don't stand out anymore either. This is a serious problem imo. I don't know if the under judgement system is fucked or something, but I used the portal to determine whether I would watch something in the past. However, because of this bug or lack of voting or whatever, I can't do that anymore... all I see is a big wall of purple.

MY LIVESTREAM

So I've been hard at work trying to get my 2 minute cartoon ready for the new Friday deadline, which means that I won't be entering NATA after all. It's a shame but Id rather put something on newgrounds that I've spent more than just a few days on...

That's were RobotDay comes in. Its in July which is perfect for me, I wont have any deadlines to catch up on, I'll have had more practice by then and hopefully should produce something worth watching.

DMT is coming really soon, although I may change the title.

if you've read any of my recent posts you'll know that I'm currently working on a 2 minute cartoon titled 'DMT'. Well, It's very nearly finished. I was supposed to hand the cartoon in for marking on the 4th but I managed to get an extention. So Ive got another week to get everything about it finished.

Here's a little clip, the story's a bit complex for such a short cartoon but I'm hoping you'll get the jist of whats goin on. Enjoy the clip.

When It's done I think it will be my best looking animation so far. what about you guys? thoughts?

So a bunch of you sent me sound recordings and audition tapes in response to my earlier post about needing a voice actor, THANK YOU SO MUCH THEY WERE ALL GREAT! But I can only use one of them so I chose Mr. Patrick Seymour to be my voice actor, He's really good, you should check him out.

Here's the animatic to the upcoming short film, 'DMT'. Please tell me what you think of it.

I'm also going to be entering NATA. I hope I make it past the open round, from what I hear there are going to be a lot of great animators entering this year too.

Other cartoons that I'm working on still include 'BattleCraft' (which could turn into a series entitled "STALE", depending on the reviews it gets) that should be released during summer, and of course all the NATA cartoons that I make if I don't get voted out :)

DMT will be released early MAY, (possibly the 4th or 5th)

If your interested you MUST have a decent mic and have some experience doing this sort of thing before.

So I explained about my china trip in an earlier post, and now... I'M BACK! Actually Ive been back for a while now.

It was awesome! The weather was hot as FUCK! The food was delicious as FUCK! My presentation was scary as FUCK! (I nearly shit my pants, twice... literally) How come you all thought it was a fucked up place to be because of their government? It wasn't even bad. the people were happy and pleasant and best of all no one was fat. I didn't see a single fat chinese person while I was there, and I was there for a week. As soon as I got home I saw soo many fat people in one day I couldn't even count them on my hands and toes combined. (It must have been a fat parade.. I dunno.)

So we landed in Shanghai and headed straight for a city called Wuxi. (Interesting city, lots of history. It's known for silkworms and roof tiles or something, I wasn't really paying attention, I was just enjoying the food.) We stayed in a big ass hotel with marble everywhere. Our rooms where big and the bathrooms had marble everywhere too, I'm gunna get a bathroom like that one day. While we were in Wuxi we visited the university of Jiangnan, where I had to do a powerpoint presentation of my animation course and show my work. I needed a shit all day, but 5 minutes before my presentation my ass decided it had to shit then and there. I very nearly shit my pants, the only reason I managed to hold it in was because of the adrenalin rush I was getting from the thought of presenting my work to a bunch of foreign strangers... As soon as I got back to the hotel I destroyed the toilet and never felt more relived in my life.

The second university I visited was in a city called Guangzhou(I think?). Now this was a true city, people everywhere, tall fucking buildings everywhere, and trees were everywhere too, seriously, Ive never seen so many trees in an urban setting before, It was pretty cool. SCAU university was pretty big too, I had to do another presentation here, but this time in front of a lecture hall and for a second time during this trip I almost shit my pants again. Exactly the same scenario as last time, right before I was due to present my ass was all like "Fuck you bitch, time to ruin everything!". Barely held it in, but now I was finished with presentations! We ate like kings for the last couple of days before coming back home... to this fucking freezing island to the left of France.

TL;DR:
I'm back from china, it was awesome, weather was hot, food was delicious, I nearly shit my pants twice.

That's right. My animation course at uni picked the 2 people with the highest grades to go to China. Since I handed in Cloud Soft as one of my projects that means Me and Scott will be heading to China on the 24th March.

So I have to make a big presentation in front of a bunch of Chinese students about my work and what I get up to on my course. It's fair to say I am shitting my pants, I'm not much of a public speaker afterall.. let alone a Foreign speaker :(. Wish me luck! Hopefully I won't disgrace myself infront of the Chinese.

I just finished another cartoon btw, but its not gunna be on newgrounds. Its a 30 sec advert for the preston guild that happens once every 20 years here in the UK. Here it is.

Right now I'm currently working on my 2nd year cartoon for uni, it will be 2 minutes long and its about the effects DMT has on your brain when you die.

Outside of uni, I'm still working on BattleCraft. I'll probably be posting about voice acting auditions in summer for roles in it. so look out for that.

As much as I love the new redesign (And I do love it, with ALL my penis) I don't think I'm gunna get used to the front page featured movies and games section, here's why:

ITS ALL ONE BIG CLUSTER! I don't think the space saving is really necessary, I honestly think it should be returned back to its original state but with the same BIG icons. I liked the descriptions that the old front page had, it was easier to notice a new cartoon that had made front page that way, And you'd also have a vague idea of what was in store for you. The new layout is all well and good for the actual movies section itself (when you click the tab). But for the front page, you need to make them feel special again. Please put it back the way it was newgrounds, thats the ONLY problem I have with all the FANTASTIC work you've put into making this new design.

(P.S The new emotes are fucking awesome)
